He later expanded his repertoire with Modus Operandi, playing covers of Mr. Big, Extreme and Whitesnake. Simultaneously, he was not too far from funky influences in a rock context which came from bands like Infectious Grooves, RHCP and Pantera, and he performed some of their tunes with Da Spice Tribe during the mid nineties.

Dinshah Sanjana, a jazz fusion composer, took notice of the band during a concert at Rang Bhavan, a historic venue in the city. By late 90's, Lindsay had begun exploring funk, acid jazz, hip hop, jungle, drum n'bass, breakbeat and other contemporary styles with his friends from the local fraternity.

This led to many energetic gigs with bands such as Gil Gallad's Funkadelik Arcade which would later evolve into Bombay Black a collective of musicians and friends who produced, performed and created experimental music. They are still active today.

Bombay Black is a live act that at the time, brought samplers, computers and electronica into a scene primarily dominated by rock. This was followed by the release of two CD's; both were critically acclaimed and gave the band an opportunity at the Inland Invasion festival in Los Angeles alongside acts such as Aerosmith.

Only recently, Bombay Black reformed with the original lineup releasing an album called 'Snow White and the Seven Bungalows' which was also received favorably.

On the side, he also contributed to Bollywood movies, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Jhankaar Beats, Lakshya, Chameli and JhoomBarabarJhoom among others.
